About Our Studio

The Pilates Room is boutique studio located in Pukekohe.  The relaxed stylish environment and countryside views provide the perfect space for your Pilates practice.

Sarah is a STOTT PILATES® trained Mat, Reformer and Total Barre instructor.  Her passion and practice of Pilates spans over 15 years, and she is honoured to be able to share that with clients.

Class sizes are kept small so exercises can be modified and tailored to your individual body needs.

By integrating body, breath, movement and awareness, we strive to promote an understanding of all these aspects in your personal health and well-being.

Reformer Workout
Pilates Work Out

Reformer Pilates

50 minute group class sessions with a maximum of 6 people. 

Utilising the resistance from the Reformer, each class engages the entire body focusing on muscle tone, endurance, balance and functional strength.  All levels welcome as machines and exercises can be tempered to meet individual needs.

Total Barre

45 minute group class session.

Sculpt lean and toned muscles with this energising and dynamic group class designed to challenge and change your body - no dance experience or tutus required! Total Barre efficiently blends Pilates, dance, cardio and strength-training specifically challenging arms, legs and core to strengthen and lengthen the body.

Mat Pilates

45 minute group class helps to increase flexibility and  build a strong core.  Based on a mat with low impact floor exercises and encoporating small props to increase exercise specificity. The diversity of exercises and modifications can be tailored to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced.  With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.

Things you need to know

Before you start

We recommend all new clients have an introduction session to acquaint themselves with the studio and cover any questions they may have before joining group classes.  Intro sessions are by appointment.

It is also  recommended you speak to your lead health care practitioner if you have any concerns around the suitability of Pilates to your health.

What to wear

Comfortable clothes that you can move and work out in. 

We wear socks for Pilates so don't forget to bring a clean pair to change in to when you arrive or you can purchase a pair of grip socks from the studio ($19 each)


Class Timings

Classes start promptly so please aim to arrive 5 minutes beforehand.  Classes run for 50 minutes with the exception of the 6am classes & Tuesday mat & barre classes which are 45 minutes

 Class Bookings

All classes are by appointment and run on a school term basis.  We recommend confirming your spot through a term concession pass as this provides surety and value.  Online bookings are available through the book now button but recommend new client email before booking their first session.

Cancellation Policy

Please let us know at least 24 hours before your session if you are unable to attend or payment is due in full.  Make up sessions on term concession passes will be available but are subject to availability but 24 hours notice of cancellation must be given to be eligible.



Reformer  Classes

 $25 casual class 


$230 for 10 session term pass payable upfront ($20 saving).  Please note must be used within a current term period.

Barre Classes

$20 casual class

Private  Sessions

$60 for a personalised workout session for 1 person

$80 ($40pp) for a 2-to-1 session

$90 ($30pp) for a 3-to-1 session

By appointment and incorporating a range of exercises and equipment tailored to your needs


Introduction Sessions

$60 for a 1-to-1 introduction session

$30 for a group introduction session - these are usually scheduled at the start of a new term so please get in touch to find out dates and availability.
